The Podcast

was created by Mike Player, and written by Mike with Mark Barnett. It was produced by What's That? Productions. It was directed by Mike Player. Buddy and RJ first appeared live in two Comedy Smash shows in Santa Monica, CA in 2017. The idea for a podcast set in the fictional town of Central City was soon born.

Mike Player

Mike Player (R.J. Stott) is a comedy writer, actor, and author. He is the founder of 3 comedy groups; “Shock of the Funny” in New York, and “The Gay Mafia” and "Angry Daddies" in Los Angeles. He is the creator/executive producer of MTV’s LOGO Network series, “The Outlaugh Festival on Wisecrack.” He is the editor and a contributor to “Out on the Edge: America’s Rebel Comics” published by Alyson Books, and author of "Viral - The Story of the Milkshake Girl." Mark Barnett

Mark Barnett (Buddy Fontaine) is a graduate of Second City and the Groundlings. He has appeared in several bizarre commercials where he played exploding hot dogs, running logs and Norman Bates’ mother. He was a regular with the Angry Daddies and now is just trying to stay calm. NOT.
